Re: Warder Church
In Response To: Warder Church ()

In an 1890s plat book, a Joseph Warder owned the northwest quadrant of Section 23 southeast of Wellington. There is a structure indicated to have been located on the property along what appears to be present-day County Road 56 where it curves into present-day Shady Lane. That site is around a quarter mile from the creek. I have no idea if this structure was a church, or if my estimate of present-day road comparison is on the mark--but it may be a starting point. Locals can probably help you out better than I can.
