Kirby, I couldn't agree more. My primary interest is in the Indian Territory. I am frequently asked where a particular "prairie" is located. My first response is always "most of Northeastern Oklahoma is prairie, you just can't see it for the trees". We have many more trees now along fence lines, around houses, wind breaks, around stock ponds, etc. but if you look at a satellite view, the various prairies are clearly evident. I stumbled onto a mapping site online at http://mapper.acme.com/ which allows switching between a modern road map, satellite view, relief map (ie terrain view) and USGS topo maps. It's very similar to google maps with the addition of the topo maps.
