Re: Why "Iron Brigade" for Shelby?

There were several books by years, those kept by John Edwards up to the time he was captured. Then the 63 books which are in fragments at various places, mostly at the library of congress, then the 64 book which is from the library of Congress. Again it lacks cohesiveness. What I have done is assembled the 64 book. up to and through the start of the Price Raid. I am annotating parts as I develope the material. There are parts in the OR's that are not in the order book, then parts in the Order book not in the OR's. Again where the problem lies is when Shelby was on the move, there were no efficient record in hand. Most of which was after action reporting or orders. The 64 book is quite valuable. I have included orders and transmissions between Price, Marmaduke and others. It creates a better picture of events.
