I have been following the conversation that includes mention of Captain E.V. Kelly. I believe he is my great great grandfather. I have been researching him for quite sometime. I'm fairly sure from county documents that he died in 1877 in St. Joseph, but I have no actual proof of his death. If anyone out there has information on him I would certainly appreciate learning about it. I do know he was married to Sarah Browning, had three sons and one daughter (whom I am descended from). He owned a funeral plot at Mt. Mora Cemetery in St. Joseph where his wife is buried, however a gravestone was not found there. I realize this isn't really "Civil War" related, but couldn't help but fish a little bit.
