The undersigned Members of the Missiouri delegation of Congress would respectfully recommend Colonel John C. Tracy for an appointment as Colonel of Cavalry in the C. S. A. under the recent law providing for raising troops in Kentucky and Missouri.
Col. Tracy has already rendered important service in the State and has a command already in the field. He will doubtless report his command without delay upon his return to Missouri. His past services are the best recommendation for his future expectations. We therefore unhesitatenly recommend him to your favorable consideration.
