FIELDING W. WISDOM. F. W. Wisdom died at his home in this city Tuesday, December 21, 1920, of dropsy. Aged 75 years. Mr. Wisdom had been sick for a number of weeks and had not been able to be off the place. He had begun to show' signs of improvement but the end came unexpectedly. Fielding W. Wisdom was born in Audrain County August 28, 1843. He was married to Mary E. Pulis on the 12th day of February, 1871. His wife died December 21, 1881. On the 12th day of February, 1883 he was married to Miss Catherine Dickersen, who survives him. He is also survived by two sons, J B. and W. R Wisdom of this locality. A son George W., and a daughter, Nora W., preceded him to the grave, the former September 7, 1909 and the latter October 8, 1901. He is survived also by a sistei, Mrs. Susie Hurdle of Port LaVaca, Texas and a brother, T. S. Wisdom, of this city. Mr. Wisdom joined the force of Gen. Sterling Price during the Civil War and was wdth the company of Bconc County men who followed Price or his raid After the war ho returned to Audrain County. He camo to Centralia in February 1911 and has lived here since. He was a member of the Holiness church in this city. Funeral services were conducted this morning at the Holiness church in this city at 11:00 oclock, a. m, by Brother Moses Points. After which the body will be taken to New Hope cemetery in Audrain County for interment. Fielding Wisdom, as we knew him, was one of the finest of men, his rugged mien hid a kindly disposition and i heart of pure gold. He never forgot a favor and if he ever cherished a wrong, we never knew of it. He held to high ideals and lived as best ho could the life of an honest, Christian gentleman. A ho3t of friends will join the Guard in extending sympathy to the bereaved family.
