History of Audrain county lists Thomas and Fielding Wisdom along with YA Purcell as confederate enlistees.

It appears that a Thomas W Wisdom of Howard county (age 33 at the time and claimed no service history) was interviewed by FW Digges Asst Provost Glasgow, MO on April 27, 1863 at Glasgow. (T S Wisdom was already in prison at St. Louis!) General Merrill over ruled the disposition and sent him to Alton via Gratiot. This does not appear to be the same person as Thomas S Wisdom of Audrain county. Digges was the former postmaster and mayor of Glasgow and served with Neriah Todd on the board of the local girls school antebellum. Digges likely knew most of these guys in Todd and Purcell's companies.
