This is from May 29 1863
COLUMBIA -- Stewart Hatton, known as “the one-eyed general,” had been captured after months on the run, the Missouri Statesman reported. He was brought in by a small party from the 9th Missouri State Militia Cavalry, a regiment operating on home territory when patrolling Boone County. Hatton had, “for several months ... been eluding all efforts of the troops to capture him.” So was he blind in one eye during the war?

I have him running for county court, southern district Boone Co in 1876 and state rep in 1880.

Missouri United Methodist Church records have him moving and joining the Locust Grove Church (this church is currently known as Locust Grove Midway Methodist church and is 203 years old. Most of the Hatton family is buried in the cemetery there.) by letter in Rocheport, MO, 3 Feb 1894. All references before that have him at Dixon Mill or the Hatton place which was the old Stapleton mill site south of Dixon mill on Callahan Creek.

A hand written note on the ledger reports his death as Aug 6 1894, restored by vote of Church Conference. His father was a founding elder of the MEC Southern at Midway. I am not up to date on post war Methodist church history but do know the UMC was the result of reconciliation of the North and South halves. I will send the page to you.

Bethlehem School and Church are located here https://geonames.usgs.gov/apex/f?p=GNISPQ:3:::NO::P3_FID:759378
You can see them on the historic topo maps. They are about 3/4 miles apart with Callahan creek running between them. I presume Poindexter's camp was likely at the church as it was referred to as a "meeting house". Hatton's mills were on Callahan Creek a tributary of Perche Creek/River. I haven't pinpointed the location of the mills yet.
