"DANIEL SLADE was born 16 May 1830 in Marion Co., MS., and died 25 Jun 1889 in MS. Was a Civil war veteran, discharged 1863 due to disease. This is my great, great grandfather Slade."

Daniel Slade was a member of Company B, 7th. Battalion Mississippi Infantry (Terral's). He is noted as AWOL in most of the 9 cards in his military service records. Copies may be procured by clicking on the advertisement at the top of this page.

"His brother Ebenezer Slade was born 06 Oct 1833, Marion Co.,MS.; d. 07 Jun 1862, Okalona, Chickasaw Co., MS.; Ebenezer was killed during the Civil War."

Ebenezer Slade was a member of Company I, 38th. Mississippi Infantry (Mounted). His brief record states he died in the hospital at Okalona, the cause of death is not noted.
