Now that I look at this closer I notice the date on this is not March 12, 1863 - the date that matches the 38th Cavalry records stating that is when he signed his bond, The date on this is May 15, 1864. Does that mean this actually belongs to someone else? The oath of Renunciation and Allegiance has his height as 6 ft. What do you think?
