The 6 brothers were sons of "harbard Cooley" not harbert, the harbert in the above reply is not the same man. Harbard Cooley gave every son he had, I have yet to figure out who the young harbert cooley is who served with Harbards son Albert in the 8th, probably some kin, not sure. Harbard Cooley was from Wayne County MS and is burried there in the shirley place cemetery. From the records i have seen so far the man owned no slaves, im somewhat confused as to why 5 brothers fought in the wayne county division and Albert the oldest fought in the 8th.
