I can't do it now, but in my younger days. Its amazing how fast and far you can "Double quick" when the "bumblebees" are buzzing.

Yes, I have done some re-enacting 20 odd years ago. I have been on the New Market battlefield several time so far in my lifetime and participated in the 125th anniversary re-enactment. I know what you mean about the shoes. I have re-marched some of the marchs, they made doing those re-enactment, as much as 30 miles.

My point in my original comment was to point out what appeared to me to be the common misconception of the general public and a lot of todays reenactors, that a "Charge" during that War, was a wild screaming, running unorganized, mass of soldier crossing an open field.
