Hey Guys,
How bout the Pullman Stike in Chicago about the same time. I remember the old timers around here holding the National Guard in great contempt. They called them strike breakers.

By the way Mr. J L Lewis who is mentioned in the news piece was born and raised here and in those days the United Mine Workers Headquarters was here in Springfield.
