To change the Museum of the Confederacy to any other name is a sell out. I wrote a letter to the director and recieved the 'canned spam' reply. The name change would be the first step to obliterating the reason for it to exist.
The problem is there are not enough people willing to stand up and help reduce the 'radioactive' response the name brings. The actions of those who are willing to sell our heritage are the reason we are losing it. If the SCV and the UDC could find a way to take over and let it remain one of the last pieces of history devoted to our heritage that would be a nice thing. Unfortunately, that probably is just a pipe dream.
