What I'm saying here is slavery was legal and not immoral until some self professed defender of the opressed and annilator of inquity came along and said slavery was not a moral activity, and poof thousands jumped on the band wagon and so today we have people saying that was immoral during the time period we are discussing, ya see,,,,

No matter how we try to get these folks to look back and see there are alot of things back then that we don't accept today. Take Prostitution for instance, in the 1800's every town had at least one brothel and some more. There were brothels on the outside of every Civil War camp, shoot some of the soldiers were actually female and prositutes. But today prostitution is not only illegal, but immoral by our standards. I believe slavery was on the same train prositution was on, which was a one way ticket out of town.
