Have you read the transcripts of the charges against the accused? My ancester was charged with being a witch from grown people, on incidents that occured decades prior to the trial. One man accused her of walking around a house and then reappearing as a blue bore and running under the legs of his horse, scaring the horse which threw him to the ground. Another accuser said she was a witch because she sold some butter to the crew of his ship, which went bad in a few days with maggots. Then while at sea she caused the ship to be damaged in a storm, caused the ship to later spring a leak, and one sailor saw her two legs walking about the deck and later her upper body. Another man said she appeared as a cat in his bed while he was asleep. My ancester was 82 years old and thrown in a dungeon for this?
