I'm certainly not a constitutional expert. In fact, my learning of the "original" 13th Amendment was entirely due to your posting. After reading it, I thought I wonder, to what, Evelyn is alluding, in her statement of possibly being a slave under the original 13th Amendment? When I did a Google search of original 13th amendment, I started coming across these references to the 13th Amendment of 1819 and its references to terms of nobility. I didn't think this was the amendment you were referring to, but jokingly thought I'd ask what title you were using, Contessa, Duchess,? ;-)

BTW, I spoke to my brother over the weekend, who lives just down the street from you and was glad to hear you guys didn't get the really terrible rains and flooding, like those that occurred South and West of you.
