Craig, I didn't mean to imply the Confederate flag should fly over every state capitol and govt. building in the south. I'm not asking that people fly the flag or stand up when Dixie is played. But revisionist have taken such a negative attitude towards southern symbols that even in Confederate cemeteries they are banning the flag these men fought and died under. That's just plain wrong no matter how you look at it. In a day where tolerance and understanding are preached where is it for us?

One of the popular T-shirts in the Southern Heritage community states these words... "Jesus & the Confederate Flag, banned from our schools... Forever in our hearts" That goes a long way to understanding our beliefs.

I don't think most of us would want to invade the schools of the north and tell the students there that their ancestors were evil men who fought for a bad cause and should have all been hanged. Yet, in my lifetime I have lived to see this be put forth in a university about my own people. I guess talking about genocide of Southrons doesn't get associated with what happened in WWII.

Personal note.... I want to tell you and Sam I appreciate this exchange we've shared the last couple of days. I don't usually get involved in these discussions for several reasons. It was nice to blow off a little steam :-)
