Some will always point their finger at the war as an issue of slavery. How many times do we have to keep arguing this point? This "war" was a states' rights issue. Whether it was the institution of slavery (which all of our more well endowed ancestors were guilty of participating in) or preserving the union, Lincoln declared war on his own country. Even tosing away the Constitution in his actions. His legacy, especially after reading his own remarks on the Africans that were held in "bondage" and those that were free, should mark Mr Lincoln as the ultimate racist and white sepratist (sic). I hold no honor for his work or his legacy. I write on every five dollar bill I get my hands on "WAR CRIMINAL". Let freedom ring.
