Wrong I found these 3 links on the first search no problem. Try contacting Col. Mike Kelly of the 37th Texas, he is an expert in black Confederates. His website is very easy to find.

"Fort Pillow????"
Fort Pillow what? I am betting most of what you think you know about this incident is wrong.
"I honestly believe we have
more blacks here than the state of Mississippi does today...."
Wrong again.
http://www.census.gov/Press-Release/www/releases/archives/population/011910.html "In the District of Columbia, the black population comprised the highest percentage (56 percent); Mississippi (38 percent) and Louisiana (32 percent) were next."
Could one of the answers be the number of men KIA in Confederate units? Lets look at the 7th Miss. Infantry Regt. In 1861 this unit numbered around 1,100 men. In 1865 at surrender there were roughly 90 men left scattered from Mississippi to North Carolina. Also take into consideration the number of blacks in the Union army who actually saw combat.
http://www.answers.com/topic/military-service-and-minorities
"Some 180,000 African American soldiers served in the Union army during the Civil War; 38,000 died, 3,000 to combat-related fatalities"
"IMHO I really dont think they had seperate but equal camps for the blacks, probably a
hangmans noose..."
Your honest opinion is totally wrong isn't it?
STOP ASSUMING!!!!!
