There will certainly be no great amount of interest raised in a Museum of the Confederate States unless someone is willing to step forward and attempt to organize the various groups into one cohesive force with the important goal of establishing a permanent home for Southern Heritage Relics.
I am sure there are some wealthy Americans whom could be persuaded to donate to a feasibility study to determine possibility of constructing such a museum. For sure, if we don't try to save our Southern Heritage for future generations the Confederate States War for self determination will be forgotten in the not too distant future.
Even though in 1860 there was disagreement over succession from the United States, the Confederate States did finally agree to succeed and was willing to sacrifice many lives for the cause over which they came together. Let us not allow the sacrifice of our ancestors' treasure and lives for what they believed was a just cause to be forgotten over petty differences..
Someone please run the idea up the flag pole and see who will step forward and organize an effort.
