You see things clearly my friend. You can count me among those who fear for my country's fate. But I can't believe our future rest solely on this election coming up or whoever it is who ends up sleeping in the White House. I feel like Ben Franklin that God rules in the affairs of men. And as long as God rules there will always be the opportunity to right the ship (Figured you would like that reference). True freedom comes only from God. Great Southerners like George Washington knew this, Robert E. Lee knew this and I know it too.

You are of course right when you say the last Confederate died decades ago but I offer my defense of use of that term by saying I was simply using it in reference to this forum. Just as anybody who supports Mr. LIncoln is considered a "Union man" I have gotten used to thinking of the Southern supporters on here as "Confederates". This is something I will try to overcome.

God has blessed me so richly by allowing me to be born and raised in this country. I hope folks will not give up on the good old U.S.A and join with our Confederate ancestors and work to make it better than it is. I do believe our ancestors would agree.
