Your maybe right about how some post their emotions with their history. But here they have a voice to express what they feel is the truth as opposed to decades of bad information being taught and handed down as fact. Your are correct, the other boards are a wealth of information and are professionally run; but if not for this board, would those boards would be extremely hard to manage. The reason for this board to let off steam for many of us that are culturally and socially tied directly to Southern history. Most of have used Jim's boards for years and realize what the difference is.
There is nothing wrong in defending history, and here some of the rules to live by here are:
1. Be prepared to have your feelings hurt
2. Be prepared to defend your statements
3. Don't get personal
4. Let others defend your honor, someone reading is on your side
5. Have fun
