Really stark isn't it? Looks like a few UFO's showed up. The reality of the event we didn't see is greatly different from the remains of the forts that have been restored today. I remember that photo you posted before of the parade ground at Ft Barrancas and when I looked at it I had just been there the week before. I still cannot understand why they called it that because it's so small. They had a lot more room outside the fort or even at Redoubt. The events are large in our minds but when put in perspective of the time they happened, it had to be one scary picture no matter what 'event' one was active in.
