Pam, I saw their topic on The Confederacy in relation to modern day terrorism. What a shame that the mainstream public can only know of this disgusting comparison and not any truth. My gun crew assisted in the headstone placement and dedication of Captain William Latane this past Saturday. One of JEB Stuart's patrol that circled McClellan's army in 1862, and the only casualty. My senior corporal and I were talking while the service was going on. We were at some distance from the main ceremony with our gun. He said "you know, we are the last generation that will do this kind of thing". I looked at him, realizing what he had said and could only agree. I hope this is not true. But I fear that our history will get swept under the rug by almost everyone. Mostly due to false information and lack of interest. It seems that there are a lot of people that are trying really hard to keep our history sacred and understood. But at the same time I think the general public wants us to go away. I won't go away. Will you? I don't think you will.
