Joe, during the recent Texas social studies "debate," my eyes didn't glaze over until
one minority representative left the meeting in a huff after it was voted not to
acknowledge that particular minority's "many and significant contributions to the hip hop culture"
in the high school text under consideration

I know for a fact that sort of nonsense never made it anywhere close to my gr-gfather's
WBTS-era grade school text for I have several of his school texts from the 1850s and all they
taught was practical, useful things all derived from the 3-Rs with the 3-Rs defined in
their broadest sense. (this was the Civil War Content, Jim)

What is happening?
