Your opinion on Douglas as stated here sounds perfectly reasonable. However, while Douglas could be an expert witness on the mindset of mid-19th century African-Americans, he still isn't qualified as an expert on the rank-and-file composition of the Confederate army.

My contentions on FD should've been brought up before, because this is not new. I thought it had been done. Perhaps my posts failed to emphasize that FD is not a wizard or a magician nor is he an authority on the Confederate army.
