George, that clears up the question about his .25 cent extra pay question. I also agree with your conclusion about why he was back with his company. After his wounding at Murfreesboro he was sent to the Lumpkin Hospital in Rome, Ga. I learned that from a letter of Pvt. George S. Lea of his company who was there and mentioned his name. Although the letter was from George S. Lea it was written by Pvt. Dennis H. "Hatch" Rogers of their company. Both Chaddick and Lea were wounded in their arm. Lea, obviously in his right arm as he couldn't write for quite a while.
