I think you're on it with the Ivanhoe. I'm really surprised to learn that in order to research it, preserve it, whatever it, the home owners have to pay to have it taken off the property. Alabama is slacking big time. Even if it's not ever really id'd for sure, it would be a great display at Battleship Park. They have a number of items of maritime interest. Truth be told, they have way more than we do on the maritime interest. Our "Maritime Museum" became Studerville, oops, the stadium for our farm team the Blue Wahoo's. Whoopee doooo. :( The citizens that owned that property and voted for a museum are still trying to figure out how that shell game was run and the rich dude took the prize. No boats at that ballpark either. I guess we should be happy to have the Aviation Museum.

With the number of boats, ships, unidentified floating object we've had in the history of Pensacola Bay and Mobile Bay, one would think this wreck would be of some interest to someone. I guess history is being erased by avoiding things that could teach it.
