Here is another question that I haven't yet seen listed in this thread here. What happens to old gravestones when a family has one replaced for whatever reasons such as broken, incorrect info/typo, a single headstone with the spouse who died later, or even if someone decided they wanted their ancestor to have one of those VA markers ya'll talk of even if he already had another stone before? I know such does happen but no idea what generally happens to the old stones.
