Lee
I found out last night our SCV Camp takes care of the graveyard that Julius Theodore Porcher headstone is located, It is on the burial ground near his Plantation. We just placed a Confederate flag on his grave May 1st for Confederate Memorial Day. Now if his body lies there or not im not sure but it is a very old stone. Some of the officers bodies made it back home, maybe he was so lucky.
Maybe the pamplet by Moultrie Ball will tell us.
I will try to get a picture of the stone for you. It is on a island in the middle of a lake.
