I have a file on the 10/19th due to my work and involvement with Col James F. Pressley of the 10/19th for some years now. I was involved with the SCV/UDC when we dedicated a bronze marker next to his tombstone in 2004 over in Fairfield , CA. His bother was the long time CO of the 25th SC Inf, Lt. Col John G. Pressley, and is buried in the rural cemetery here in Santa Rosa, CA where I am a docent and the civil war specialist. The only account I have of the Stones River Battle is that of Walker's whose book I have on a CD and some print outs from the NPS at Murphysboro. Walker's account of his suggestion to Pressley in the 1890's in his Confederate Veteran Magazine that he was the one that suggested how to attack the T-H House is taken with some umbrage by Pressley's family out here , expecially since JFP died in 1874 and could not refute Walker's claim.

Also have a copy of Military Images Magazine of July-Aug 1997 by John Mills Bigham, S.C. Conf. Relic Room and Museum, about the 10/19th which highlights Cpl Calvin Foxworth, Capt. John Palmer, and wife Capt james Carraway and Sgt.? Moses Norris Holstein. Pictures of all included.

Good likeness of Col JFP and B/Gen Manigualt at Troup-Hirt House at Battle of Atlanta in the lobby of the Atlanta Cyclorama in a painting and in the Cyclorama inside.JFP received bullet wound in the attack here that put him out of the war for good.

The whole Pressley family of Kingstree S.C. are outstanding from all I have learned from my visit there and in research over the years.
