Caldwell's book has great material and we are fortunate to have this history today. I have located the flag of the 13th at the Museum of the Confederacy in Richmond. I have initiated the process to have the flag evaluated for conservation and display. During this process, I hope to obtain some pictures of the flag. The scars of war are very apparent in the rips and holes, and there is a large piece missing in one corner. But, it was truely awesome to view the flag my ancestor fought and died under. It is a gorgeous flag !!!!!
