Cocke County and Eisenhours and Easterlys

During the Civil War my ggg grandfather Irenious Eisenhour, gggg grandfather Conrad Eisenhour, and ggggg grandfather Martin Eisenhour were residents of Cocke County, around Parrottsville. My ggg grandfather married Caroline Phoebe Easterly in 1862. Her father, my gggg grandfather Phillip Easterly, was also a resident of Cocke County.

During the war, my ggg grandfather Eisenhour served first in the 62nd Tenn Infantry (CSA), then the 3rd Mounted Tenn Infantry and 8th Tenn. Infantry (USA). His three miltary age brothers were all either in the 4th or 8th Tenn Infantry regiments (USA). Two of my ggg grandmother Caroline Easterly Eisenhour's brothers also appear to have served, one each, in those two regiments.

I am interested in any information about Cocke County during the war, particularly the Parrottsville area. I understand from 'War at Every Door' and 'Mountain Rebels' that there was a good deal of violence in the area (I have been told by a distant kinsman that Conrad Eisenhour had substantial property taken by Confederate authorities). I would especially be interested if anyone had information about the Eisenhour (sometimes spelt Isenhour) or Easterly familes during the conflict.
