Re: Cocke County and Eisenhours and Easterlys

Corpral/Sergent Philip A C Easterly began CS service in Vaughn's Brigade Co I 61st Regt Tennessee Inf (Pitts). At Big Black River Mississippi 17 May 1863 he was made POW transported to Camp Morton, Indiana. There he and 99 others took the oath and became Co A the 5th later redesignated the 8th Tennessee Cav. US 11 June 1863, part of Gillum's Brigade. They returned to Tennessee and engaged Vaughn until war's end.
My research shows the following Easterly's in Co I, Clayton,
George, George W, Henry, and Joseph. PAC is the only one to appear in the 8th.
