The soldier in the 19th Tennessee Infantry is from Company F and his name is George Worfolk (but see also Worfolk, G W and Walford, George), but not to be confused with Wolford, William G, who was in Company G.

George was a miner from Ducktown in Polk County TN. He deserted, took the Oath of Allegiance, and was released in February 1863. However, he seems not to have made it back home, which is a further reason why I am suspicious about a record stating that he received (overdue) pay as late as November 1864. November 1863 would make more sense.
