I lucked up on your conversation about the MAxwell House Prison. Mt g-g- uncle was captured by Union soldiers and and taken to Nashville. He purportedly had shot a bush-whacker on his property and shot him. The soldier lived and he was taken prisoner and died in Nashville. His grave is in Mt. Olivett where he is listed as a private. His name was Clemons Calvin Hammond (Hammons). I wondered if there was any way to figure out where he died, Maxwell house PRison or the converted penitenitary. In light of all that I found your remarks interesting. Any insight for me?
