Thanks so much for the information. You have really stirred up my curiosity. So you think he was mistakenly buried in Nashville's National Cemetery rather than Mt. Olivett? Where did you gather this information from? The web-site we looked at didn't list Clement C. Hammond as being buried there. We are still unconvinced that he was indeed a soldier. Based on family lore we think he was most likely a POW. Any other leads we can investigate?
