His name, grave section and grave number appears in the listings of the "Roll of Honor" which is a listing of all burials in all the National Cemeteries. As stated his original death date and reason for death came from the Microfilm Holdings of the Tennessee State Library and Archives titles "W. R. Cornelius Burial Records", (he was the Nashville undertaker who had the contract for burial of Federal and Confederate Dead in Nashville, Tennessee).

As already stated he was listed by name under two different units from Alabama in "Broadfoot's" listing of Confederate Soldiers under very similar names. Have you purchased this soldier's service record to confirm? Hope this is of some assistance. Tim Burgess
