While the California folks were in town last week, we took my nearly 103 year old cousin, Temple Herron
who was a swim away survivor of the sinking of the Wasp on Sept. 15, 1942 in WWII, out to the cemetery
to visit the grave of his grandfather W.S. Herron, who had ridden with the 7th Tennesseee Cav.
He had to touch the grave marker, one old soldier to another.
Can you imagine witnessing that?
