Re: Chattanooga - Cassady/Casaday

It's the Wrong one George, sure wish you had found the right one. ~ That 1860 census is a real brick wall for more than one reason. My Cassady's are:
James Henry Cassady.....1824 WA CO TN
Sarah M D (Nelson) Cassady...1815 (died Aft 1850 bef 1865 GA)
Elizabeth A. ...b 1843, WA CO TN
Mary J....b 1844 - " " "
Adam.....B 1847 - " " "
And, after the 1850 census, Margaret A. born Nov 1850 Chattanooga TN

If they are in the 1860 census, it must be under a wrong last name, such things have happened !! Any way, thanks for the info. I have searched off n' on for 8 years ~ you just might see something I missed.
I never thought I would learn of another sibling, (Margaret.) Her descendant sent me an email last month with the family story that James H Cassady had been taken prisoner from their home by the Army, they never saw him again. SO, I started searching civil war records again. Without an age, residence or last address in records for the soldier I did find, I think I'm out of luck learning if he is my gg grandfather. But, I haven't given up!!!
