Mr. Chobot,

Please post the numerical designation of the Tennessee regiment he belonged to. This will allow us to cross reference him with other Montgomery's and narrow the search.

You will also want to check county marriage records and the 1860 Federal census for the county she lived in. If you know the numerical designation we can look for the county of origin for that company and narrow the search that way.

The Confederate dead for the battle of Jonesboro were buried at the Patrick Cleburne Confederate Cemetery in Jonesboro.
