Robert Montgomery 8th. Inf. Co. E La. [I take this to be a Louisiana regiment.]

Field Montgomery 14th Inf. Co. I. [Do not know what state this is but it is not the 14th Tennessee Infantry.]

John Montgomery 9th State Guard Mo. [I take this as being the 9th Missouri State Guard.]

Do you know the name of the widow of the soldier in question? I assume she is the one who filled out the questionaire.

What was her residence (i.e. town, county, state) on the application?

Are you sure the soldier served in a Tennessee regiment?

These details will assistance me in looking at various sources.
