My apologies but I do not have enough detail to go forward. There are about 100 Montgomery's that served in Tennessee regiments.

The UDC applications often have a lot of information that is of genealogical value and could provide information that enables historians to cross reference various databases and books that we have access to. Do you know the name of the widow of the soldier in question? Does she give date and location of her marriage? What was her residence (i.e. town, county, state) on the application? Does she mentioned where she lived at before the war?
