There are available microfilms that are titled the Compiled Service Records of Confederate soldiers who served in military organizations raised directly by the Conf. Government and not necessarily associated with a particular state. The number for the two films for the Brush Battalion,C.S.A. are: 0880278 and 0880279. These are the numbers from the L.D.S. Family History Library and can be rented for a nominal fee. Two completely separate Microfilm groups are General, Staff Officers , and Non Regimental Enlisted Men and another called Unfiled Papers and Slips. The former is 123 microfilms and the latter 442 microfilms. These three groups of microfilms are sometimes overlooked by those doing research.
