Kent, I would have to agree with Gary on this. What little information on the 10th is in the book "Between the Enemy and Texas:Parson's Texas Cavalry in the Civil War" written by Anne J. Bailey. When Col. Parson was adding to his command to march to Little Rock to attempt to keep Arkansas from falling into Federal hands he added what was considered at the time to be the best artillery company available(10th Texas Artillery). But in the coming years in different battles are so badly shot up that at one time a Texas Cavalry unit was dismounted to man the guns. As with many Texas units that were part of Parson's Brigrade about the only way to find any inrormation on them is to follow Parson's Texas Cavalry(12th Texas Calvary)and Anne Bailey does a very good job with this book. Another good book of her's,"Texans in the Confederate Cavalry",has some maps and gives some details of Parson's command. Hope this helps some.
