Another book written by Stephen Kirk is available from Him, A Thousand Texans, Men of the 9th Texas Cavalry Regiment. This book is stories and detail about the men. It has a little History, but Mr. Kirk has tried to get information on every soldier. Just google Stephen Kirk and the 9th Texas Cavalry. This book cost about $23.95 plus shipping. You can also go to my website for all that I have been able to get on this regiment and the three others that fought in front of Sherman all the way to Atlanta.
