Henry F. Young, age 28, Private, enlisted October 14, 1861 at Camp Reves, Tex. by Col. Young for 12 months, in Captain James P. Williams Company, 4th Regiment Texas Volunteers,* elected 3rd Lieutenant March 15, 1863, captured at Rinards [sp?] Bridge, near Franklin, Tenn. April 2, 1863, forwarded to Nashville, Tn. April 4, sent to Fort Delaware, Md. April 13, paroled April 25, 1863, promoted 2nd Lieut. June 20, 1863, recorded absent on special duty May 31, 1864, no further records

* This company subsequently became Company K, 9th Texas Cavalry

Note, there are no further Company K muster rolls in the records, thus, we cannot ascertain his further service
