Mr. Cox: There is wonderful website for the 10th Texas Infantry (just Google). You will find the full history of this unit on it and you can contact the author (Scott McKay) from there also. Since the soldier in question was captured at Franklin on December 17th, 1864 he was most probably wounded and captured in one of the many temp hospitals in Franklin when the Federals reoccupied this town on that date.
