Clanton, John Wesley, 12th TX Cav

Charles Christian,

If the "officials" insist on erasing any CSA insignias, please have them contact me. I have spent an inordinate number of hours studying more than 600 named deserters in two listings, most from Texas, languishing in North Texas.
.
1) the Confederate Brush Battalion. I seem to be the only one who has ever studied this batch of men. This does not include the other more than 1500 men who were living with them who did not have the guts to eat crow and re-enlist in the Confederate Army. I have not put these 500 men on my web site because I've spent hundreds of hours trying to identify them.
.
2) 98 prisoners captured in Apr 1865 by Bourland's men. See http://www.bourlandcivilwar.com/107Prisoners.htm
